Bruno Bont (Putten, 1983) is an entrepreneur who owns the Hotel-Not-Hotel together with Tijmen Receveur and Dirk Hoogerwerf. This design hotel is situated at the Piri Reïs Square with a second entrance at the Witte de With Street. Bruno lives in Amsterdam for nine years, currently in Bos en Lommer, a district adjacent to De Baarsjes. The architecture of both the mosque and the surrounding buildings was an important reason for Bruno to start their hotel business there. The novelty of the location appealed to him: ‘This square is still young, anything can happen here.’
