Manuel is Spanish and together with his Dutch wife Nicole, he has founded Thai Hand, a yoga, massage and traditional health centre on the Piri Reïs Square. As a Buddhist, spirituality is very important to him and the construction of the mosque has been an important reason for him to start his centre here.
