Marco (Amsterdam, 1966) lives with his wife and children at the corner of the Piri Reïs Square since 2011, where there’s no view on the mosque. Between 1998 and 2006, Marco was part of the district council in De Baarsjes for the conservative-liberal party VVD, so he knows the history of the Westermoskee well. He never thought that he would come to live next to it. It was his wife who had fallen in love with the place and managed to convince him.
