EIftar is the meal Muslims consume during the fasting month of Ramadan after sunset. While no eating or drinking is permitted between sunrise and sunset during that month, Muslims do end each day with a light meal, the Iftar. In Turkey, it mostly consists of olives and tea and it is almost always eaten together. The Iftar meals of the Aya Sofya Mosque have been organized for Muslims and non-Muslims to break the fast, and to have a dialogue with each other.
